Summary
The South Carolina Statewide School Gardening program has established over 150 school gardens statewide. These gardens utilize garden-based learning to teach plant biology, agriculture, and nutrition, while encouraging students to be outside. One of the chief complaints from teachers is that fire ants are overtaking the gardens, and ruining the experience for students. This FAQ addresses how to safely manage fire ants in the school garden.
