Lateral view of the bony ridge (B). Note the sharp rearward pointing spines on the bony ridge, which become blunt by age three and disappear by age four. The bony ridge recedes with age and is no longer evident by age five. Note also the spine-like posterior-pointing projections on the medial keel of the carapace (Photographed by Myo Min Win).
