Abstract
In this assignment, students will explore various primary and secondary sources to analyze the activism and civic engagement of Progressive Movement reformers including Ida B. Wells, Alice Stone Blackwell, Eleanor Roosevelt, and others. Students are asked to identify a historical reformer whose work aligns with their own values, reflecting on issues such as women's suffrage, racial justice, labor rights, and democratic reforms, and identify their own perspectives on justice and change. Students are also asked to consider how they can model the tactics and methods of the past reformers to take action in their own communities.
