OpenPipe is a federated content production and management system that operates on heterogeneous clouds and provides digital asset support for this diverse array of users. OpenPipe provides a low-cost solution tailored for academic environments. The OpenPipe system is flexible, extensible, highly scalable and open-source. OpenPipe supports the management of production resources including storage and computational resources, the identification, tracking, and classification of produced digital content, the management of groups of activities by distributed individuals and resources and the rapid and easy sharing of work plans and content between remote locations. The system architecture is cloud agnostic and capable of operating across multiple cloud solutions.
