Abstract

This classroom activity introduces students to the concept of civic engagement. As a class, students will learn a definition of civic engagement and then will work with various terms and concepts that apply to the topic of civic engagement. This activity attempts to broaden students’ understanding about why civic engagement matters and is much more than just voting.
