Abstract
Health center staff care for various wounds, all of which require a good initial cleaning and, in some cases, repetitive cleaning and dressing. However, most camp nurses neglect to assess the wounded camper or staff member’s nutritional status for its wound-healing support. This is especially true with regard to zinc, a trace mineral that has a fundamental role in wound healing and, for some people, may be inadequately present because of their diet
