Summary
The California Carbon Market is a unique opportunity for forest landowners to preserve the trees on their land and earn income at the same time. Through the market, forest landowners can earn money for the carbon that is sequestered into the roots, trunk, and leaves of their trees. Our research provides an overview on what forest types, locations, and forest ages can sequester the most carbon, thus providing the greatest monetary return for landowners.
