Summary
There are various herbicides that can be utilized atop pine reproduction to improve seedling growth and survival by deadening competing vegetation. Herbaceous release primarily targets herbaceous vegetation around preferred pine seedlings. Woody release incorporates measures to target woody stems (trees and shrubs) adjacent to the pine stock. Individual pesticide prescriptions for both types of release involving loblolly, slash, and longleaf pine are presented.
