Abstract
The Deep Orange 7 electrified powertrain comprises of an innovative thermal system using the structural rocker beams of the vehicle as heat exchangers. This design eliminates the conventional radiator in the front of the vehicle, taking advantage of unused space within the structural components of the vehicle body. The thermal efficiency of the design iterations was verified using CFD analyses. Preliminary bench testing was completed. Future research will be discussed.
