Summary
Fusarium wilt of watermelon is the most widespread and destructive disease on watermelon in the southeastern United States. The causal fungus persists indefinitely in soil. Integrated management includes combinations of five practices with varying degrees of efficacy. This information will assist watermelon growers, Extension agents and specialists, and crop consultants manage Fusarium wilt and increase yields in infested fields.
