The Journal of Wyndham Lewis Studies (JWLS) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the study of Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957) and related subjects, such as literary modernism, Vorticism, and other avant-garde arts movements and 'isms'. Wyndham Lewis was a modernist painter, writer, and cultural critic. He is known for establishing the Vorticist movement and its mouthpiece magazine BLAST (1914), and also for such novels as Tarr (1918), The Apes of God (1930), and The Revenge for Love (1937). JWLS aims to promote the study of Lewis from inclusive, interdisciplinary, and diverse angles that critique and complicate his oeuvre and legacy.
