Summary
Equine pasture management is a large part of being a horse owner. Achieving this can be challenging with the continuously changing environmental conditions and the grazing pressure that horses put on the pasture. Soil sampling and fertility are a critical part of maintaining a productive pasture. Pasture weed management, rotational grazing, and selected varieties of forges are all integral parts of raising horses and obtaining well-managed pastures.
