Abstract

Pendleton Street is one of the main east/west corridors in the city of Greenville. It is the eastern portion of SC-124, connecting from Old Easley Highway to South Academy Street (US-123) and beyond to South Main Street. To ensure the integrity of the study, the corridor plan also encompass Vardry Street, which is very short and more like an extension of Pendleton Street from South Main Street to Augusta Street (Figure 1). This corridor is positioned as the south entrance to the central area, touching five neighborhoods, including West End, West Greenville, Green Avenue, Sterling, and Brandon (Figure 1). It contains many places of interests, such as Fluor Field, Greenville High School, Pendleton Art District, and various places of worship.
