Abstract
Asian-Americans bring a distinct culture and background to the United States that is exhibited in different ways physically in their communities. This is potentially manifested differently in the Washington, DC area than it is on the West Coast of the United States where most Asian-Americans happen to live. This terminal project explores the diverse ways in which Koreans, Vietnamese, and Chinese enclaves have developed within the Washington metropolitan area, with particular reference to the adaptations of the physical environment.
