Abstract
Statement by Governor Thurmond on the implementation of the South Carolina Soil Conservation Districts Law, with an explanation of how the law works and of the newly formed South Carolina agency, the State Soil Conservation Committee. The State Soil Conservation Committee included the director of the State Argicultural Extension Service, and the director of the South Carolina Experiment Station, both programs at Clemson University.
