Abstract
This activity demystifies opinion polls. It addresses the question, “Why are polls often wrong?” by guiding students to create and analyze a flawed survey. Students conduct a survey with common flaws and analyze results to understand how shortcomings skew results. The project explores the concepts of margin of error, sample size, bias, and framing.
