Summary
Sorghum is a drought-tolerant crop suitable for growing in the southeastern US. Although it can survive well under adverse conditions, nitrogen (N) insufficiency and water stress can reduce sorghum grain yield. This extension article summarizes how we could mitigate the negative impacts of water stress and N insufficiency with supplemental irrigation (SI) and N fertilization.
