Abstract
The motivation for this paper was the recent publication of two SAS supplementary procedures for path analysis called BREAKDOW and CHISQ. These procedures have been added to Clemson's SAS software and have now been made available to all University SAS users*. Both were jointly written by Susan B. Long of the School of Management and Hubert B. Mueller of the Mathematics Department at Syracuse University. The purpose of these two procedures is to test the fit of the casual model.
