Abstract
Clarendon and Williamsburg counties are located in the middle and lower coastal plain of South Carolina. While botanical exploration has been conducted in this area in the past, data regarding rare vascular plants lag behind that gathered in counties that lie closer to major universities or metropolitan areas. Since preservation of the state's biodiversity depends on an inventory of imperiled species, this project was undertaken to add to such baseline data.
