Summary
Project-based learning is a common teaching method that allows students to learn by becoming active participants in real-world and meaningful projects.1 With these projects comes the need for communication and the sharing of information. The purpose of this article is to establish an understanding of the effectiveness of
different methods of communication -- a traditional Gantt chart, emails, and Short Message Services (SMS) (more commonly known as text messages) -- for members of a working group at a university.
