Abstract
Designed for inclusion in any college or university course delivered in person, this service-learning activity reinforces skills, knowledge, and dispositions related to civic engagement through experiential learning in service of social and community goals of increasing participation in democratic governance. In this activity, university students will lead middle or high school students in a one-hour role playing activity that allows them to practice the steps of registering to vote and voting in North Carolina. For best results, the instructor should lead university students in a dress rehearsal of the activity prior to delivering it onsite.
